From construction processes to everyday use

Processes that work. Software that supports them.

We help construction companies connect estimating, procurement, site operations and accounting. Together with your people, we agree how the work should be done and translate those agreements into usable systems.

That can mean a standalone process analysis, improvements to your current setup or support with a new ERP implementation. We first establish what your business needs.

Connecting departments before configuring the system.

Each department can work well on its own while information still gets lost between them. An estimate is entered twice. A delivery has yet to appear in the figures. An invoice arrives without a clear cost allocation.

We follow the process across those boundaries. With your employees, we agree who records what, who makes decisions and what information the next colleague needs.

From estimating to site operations

Which parts of the estimating structure remain useful for procurement and site operations? We establish how budgets, quantities and activities can be reused throughout the project.

From purchase order to invoice

We bring together the procedures for requests, orders, deliveries and approvals. This connects what is recorded on site with what is processed in accounting.

From recording data to project reporting

We identify the data needed to monitor budgets, progress and forecasts. That information needs to become available as the work happens, at the right level of detail.

From agreed processes to everyday use.

We take responsibility for process design and its translation into the software. Your team contributes its practical knowledge and takes part in decisions. With the software supplier, we agree on technical capabilities, interfaces and responsibilities.

We do not start with a blank sheet. Process designs from previous construction projects provide a starting point that we assess together against your organisation’s needs.

Guiding an ERP implementation: who does what?

Configuration and data preparation

We translate the agreed processes into the software, configure the necessary checks and reports, and prepare the data transfer. We start with standard functionality and assess changes on their practical value.

Testing and training together

Your employees work through familiar situations using their own project data. We also test handovers between departments and practise the new procedures, bringing issues to light before go-live.

Go-live and ongoing support

During the first period of use, we help resolve questions and discrepancies. Where practice differs from the plan, we adjust the procedures or configuration. Further support is tailored to your team.

Better insight through a different setup.

At THV Civiel Linkeroever, we shifted reporting from financial totals to operational data, including quantities and unit prices for each activity. We adapted the existing KPD environment and helped project management put that information to use.

Project cost control matters from day one.

Our controllers work on construction projects themselves. They see what information is missing when project management needs to assess costs, progress and remaining work. We bring that experience into process design from the very first discussions.

In turn, our knowledge of systems helps with project monitoring: we understand where figures come from and where records can be improved. Process and software support and project cost control remain separate services. You can engage us for either.

Understanding construction processes and the software.

Our application experts have experience with RIB 4.0 and RIB iTWO, KPD Bouwoffice, KPD WIC, KPD vNext and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

As RIB Software’s Belgian implementation partner, we support RIB 4.0 implementations. If you want to continue with your current software, we first look at what different procedures or configuration could resolve.
