Monitoring projects, understanding costs and configuring systems that support that work. That is where Teamservices began.
Our controllers work on construction projects themselves. With the project management team, they review the budget, completed work, costs and commitments. Together, they assess the cost of the remaining work and identify where adjustments are needed.
We bring what we learn on site to process analysis and software projects. Together with your people, we look at how estimating, procurement, site operations and accounting connect. This can lead to clearer working arrangements, better configuration of existing software or the introduction of a new system.
In turn, our knowledge of systems helps us explain the figures and find missing information during project cost control. From the first discussions about system configuration, we consider how the project will be monitored. This starts with decisions about estimating and data structures at the tender stage.
The people behind Teamservices
Teamservices is led by Dennis Michiels and Davy Smits. Together with our team, they work on process and software projects and support day-to-day project monitoring at construction companies.
Dennis Michiels
Partner · Project Controller
Dennis grew up in a family of parquet floor installers and combines a background in accounting with construction knowledge. From 2018, he helped configure the project monitoring systems on the Oosterweel works and then took on daily project cost control. He understands what a system needs to provide for the people who use it every day.
Davy Smits
Partner · Solution Architect
Davy first spent eight years at a construction company before becoming an ERP consultant for the construction sector. He understands both how a contractor operates and the software supplier’s perspective. As a Solution Architect, he brings together the needs of management, procurement, site teams and administration, translating them into working arrangements and system configuration.
In practice
THV Civiel Linkeroever
On the Oosterweel works on Antwerp’s left bank, we configured the existing KPD environment for reporting down to activity level. A Teamservices controller also worked alongside the project management team on site.
Daily use revealed where data was missing and where recording or reporting could be improved. We used those findings to refine the system configuration and ways of working.
