Understanding project figures starts with practical experience.
Setting up a project monitoring system and then using it every day: Dennis has done both. He brings that experience to Teamservices’ ERP implementations and project cost control work.
He looks at the figures and the work behind them. How is the data produced, what does it reveal about a project, and what does your team need to take action?
Background
From accounting to construction projects.
From accounting to construction projects.
His work draws on a combination of financial knowledge and construction experience.
A family background in construction
Dennis grew up in a family of parquet floor installers. He began studying accountancy and taxation and subsequently handled the bookkeeping for KPD Academy. He also undertook a bachelor’s programme in construction engineering.
Project cost control on Oosterweel
In 2018, he helped set up and configure the systems for monitoring the Oosterweel construction project in Antwerp. He then took on the day-to-day project cost control, giving him direct experience of how the setup worked in practice.
Keeping system configuration connected to daily use
Dennis continued to adapt the systems where needed. He brings that experience to Teamservices: a system should provide useful information for the people who work with it every day.

Tracing the figures
Dennis investigates where data comes from and how procurement, site operations and accounting fit together.
Checking the setup
He assesses whether reporting helps the team evaluate costs, variances and forecast project results.
Improving together
Together with the project team, he clarifies working arrangements and identifies improvements that are achievable in day-to-day work.
